One thing I’ve learned about the South and small towns: they do parades. Whenever I’ve encountered parades before, it’s either been in hearing about the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, or seeing the streets of Taiwan closed down for a god parade. So far in NC, I’ve experienced two. The first was the Peanut Festival Parade. The Christmas parade, though, topped it by far. No, it was not a Macy’s parade, but it was fun, and funny. Pics below:
This groups was called “The Albemarle Sound.” Clever.
Nothing like the town trolley decked out in holiday greenery.
Pirates? For real? Shriner’s Children’s Hospital
No 300th anniversary parade would be complete without the horse-drawn carriage. At least not here.
